Lubbock Chamber Receives Top Honor at ACCE

The American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) recently announced the winners of the 2012 Chamber of the Year award, the nation’s only award recognizing the dual role chambers have in leading businesses and communities. This year, the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce was presented with the Chamber of the Year award for its income and size category.

The chamber was recognized as “Chamber of the Year” during ACCE’s Annual Awards ceremony at the association’s annual convention in Louisville, Ky. The award is sponsored by WebLink International (www.weblinkinternational.com). Lubbock demonstrated success in community leadership and organizational strength by being among the top in the nation for financial and membership growth and making a demonstrable impact on key community priorities in areas such as economic opportunities, education, transportation, healthcare and cultural vitality.

This is the second time in 5 years the Lubbock Chamber has won this honor. Congratulations to TCCE Board Member and President/CEO of the chamber Eddie McBride and the extraordinary team at the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce.
