Henry Florsheim is the President and CEO of the Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce, a 700-member Chamber and economic development organization with nine employees and
hundreds of volunteers.
A native of Monroe, LA, Florsheim is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe in Business Management and the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute. He has an MBA from Louisiana Tech University and is an alumnus of Leadership Louisiana. He received his IOM designation from the Institute of Organization Management, a four-year program of the United States Chamber of Commerce.
Florsheim serves on the Board of Regents for this Institute, located at the University of Georgia. He also serves as a board member for the Texas Association of Business and Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives, and was recently accepted into the Air Education & Training Command’s Civic Leaders Group, representing Sheppard Air Force Base and Wichita Falls at a national level. Florsheim just completed the U.S. Chamber Foundation’s Business Leads Fellowship, which focuses on innovation in education and workforce development around the country.
Since Florsheim’s arrival in Wichita Falls, the Chamber has won several statewide awards for marketing and economic development, and has landed well over $100,000,000 in capital investment for the region.
A creative problem-solver, Florsheim has nearly 20 years of economic development experience and a history of developing successful strategic partnerships. He serves as the implementation lead for the new community-wide strategy to grow Wichita Falls. Henry and his wife Kimberly have six children, and have served as foster parents to many other children in need.
