JILL MCCARTNEY, IOM
Director
I began my CoC life in February of 2000 as the Office manager for my hometown chamber in New Philadelphia, Ohio. It did not take long to figure out that “this” was my place in the professional world. I worked my way from Office Manger to President & CEO in six years. I received my IOM designation in 2003, served on the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Ohio (CCEO) board twice, and am a two-time CCEO-AP (Accredited Professional) with CCEO. Before moving to Texas, I worked aggressively at professionalizing a small Chamber in Southern Ohio where I obtained our 501 c 6, developed and ran the Tourism Bureau, developed the program of work and grew the organization to more than double in membership as well as finances.
In June of 2018 I took over as President & CEO of the Kilgore Area Chamber of Commerce where we continue to evolve, grow, prosper, and assist our partners in blazing their trails. I lived the first 50 years in my hometown of New Philadelphia, Ohio, where family still resides. I raised two beautiful daughters, Tess and Elli, on my own for the last 12 years. My girls moved to Texas (we got here as quickly as we could) with me and have expanded our family to include my grandchildren, Sawyer Grace and Khalan Thomas.
