JIM JOHNSON, CCE, IOM
Jim Johnson has worked in the Chamber industry for nine years and is currently the President and CEO of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce. In his role, he oversees the daily operations, strategic planning, and partnerships with multiple community organizations for 1,050-member organization.
Johnson came from Lufkin, TX where he served as the President and CEO for the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce, a five-star accredited organization with the US Chamber of Commerce, and the Lufkin/Angelina Economic Development Partnership. Prior to Lufkin, he was the Vice President with the Pearland Chamber of Commerce in Pearland, TX.
He currently serves as faculty for the US Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Organizational Management program and on the board of directors for Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives, Western Association of Chamber Executives, the Foreign Trade Zone of Central Texas and the Williamson County Institute for Excellence in Nonprofits, Inc. He previously served on the board of directors for the Texas Association of Business and the US Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Organizational Management West Location.
Locally, Jim volunteers on the Board of Directors for the Georgetown ISD Education Foundation Board of Directors and the Texas Science Education Foundation.
He holds a B.A. in History and a minor in Political Science from Texas State University. Jim has received his CCE (Certified Chamber Executive) from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and the IOM (Institute for Organization Management) recognition from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Johnson is married to his wife Jasmine and they have one son.
